Smithers is an alpine-themed, town nestled at the base of Hudson Bay Mountain. Home of The Prairie, featured in The Grey and Eight Below. Hudson Bay Mountain, Kathyln Glacier, ranch lands and farms, and Steelhead and Salmon fishing rivers are all nearby. Smithers has great film infrastructure for a small community!
Nearby Telkwa has a similar mountain backdrop, but even more of a rural feel.
